The Author
Mehzabeen Hussain is a mother, dreamer and a die-hard lover of Love. An Alumna of Lady Shri Ram College (Delhi University) and JNU, she has always been known to write emotion-stirring and cathartic pieces since her school days. She has won many awards for creative writing at national level competitions. She is a Qualitative Research Consultant and Communication Strategist who has worked with national and international NGOs, media houses across India and has academic publications in international journals.

Midnight Moaning is an anthology of poems which captures lovers at night. It is an attempt to make sense of the maddening and clichéd word ‘Love’ and the emotions that it stirs in lovers in the wee hours of nights. From joy to hurt, love to lust, separation to reconciliation, despising to love-making, ego to surrender, fights to friendship, togetherness to loneliness, ‘honeymoon phase’ to love gone sour; from butterflies in the stomach to gut wrenching heartbreak, Midnight Moaning satiates every lover’s thirst for poetry. The poems are about real people and raw feelings. Midnight Moaning reflects soul-baring expressions of many a lover’s love stories confessed to the poet.
